Resolutions...

So it was my New Year's resolution to make it to the Newark Knitter's group... instead of working all of those events... and already busted it... ARGHHH

Also a New Year's resolution was to start the craft club at school... going to start with knitting, but am nervous. Figure some decent worsted yarn from my stash and some size 10ish needles... I'll let you all know how it goes! So far 10 kids have signed up, but we'll see who shows up..

Any suggestions as to what type of caston to use/teach? I learned the knitted caston, but maybe long tail would be better? Hmm... Have until next Thursday to figure it out.

What a great idea to start a craft club at school! I can't wait to hear how it goes!!

My suggestion would be to start with the knitted cast on. It's pretty flexible and easy to remember. I still haven't quite got the hang of the long tail -- 4 years after learning to knit!!

"Someone" was MIA from our Newark Group...Hmmm...Wonder who that could be??
JFK

PS-I learned long tail cast on and that's how I teach everyone. However, I hear that long tail is hard to learn. I guess it matters on the person.
